Underfloor heating since some years is considered as a considerable innovation and it is selected of the manufacturers and homeowners increasingly. The system relieves the rooms of radiators and air conditioning units and provides many others benefits.
What you need to know about underfloor heating
The operation of the underfloor heating is based on the production of low temperature hot water in pipes (polyethylene, polyethylene-coated or copper- with aluminium) which run along the floor. The hot water heat transfer in the special concrete surrounding the plastic tubes and then the floor radiates heat.
The installation cost of the system can be more expensive than others, but payback is achieved one to two years. So we are talking about low operating cost, one of the biggest advantages of the system.
More specifically, the way to achieve the desired temperature in a room, in-floor heating water flow is 30˚C-40˚C while civil radiators need 70˚C -80˚C. This tmperature difference means fewer hours of operation of the boiler and therefore lower consumption.
Other advantages are; immediate and uniform heat distribution in space, free and unattached walls, combinatorial operation with other kind of radiators and healthier living conditions.
The latest arises from the fact that the heating system with underfloor tubing achieves perfect heat distribution on the human body, (hot legs, cold head). Prevent air currents generated by the common radiators, resulting in lack of powder and maintaining the moisture in the air at normal levels.
Rumors that the underfloor heating system is not good for your blood circulation, but it must be emphasised that after a proper study and application, which is the key, the temperature of the floor is 26˚C to 28˚C .
People usually fear separation of tiles or puncturing of an inner tube. This is done only after botched installation, nevertheless there is a device that restores damaged logically, at a cost of one or two tiles.
Finally, the underfloor heating is the most appropriate heating system, which can be combined with environmentally friendly and energy-efficient heating sources, such as Geothermy, Solar e.t.c.
