For space heating with solar energy and heating surfaces is required forced circulation system with a surface area of solar collectors similar to the heated area, the orientation of solar collectors, the desired coverage rate from solar energy, and the type of solar collectors (flat selective, vacuum tubes).
For saving of hot water is needed a storage tank (reservoir) with a heat exchanger for the closed circuit and optionally a solar electric resistance or additional or extra supplies to exploit multiple sources (boiler (oil, gas, wood), pump heat, fireplace).
In addition it is possible for the storage container to have integrated a smaller tank inside(tank in tank), so we have with one container and the same solar system both domestic hot water supply and water supply for heating.
The circulation will be forced through a circulator, which will be controlled by a differential thermostat which will compare at any time the water temperature in the storage tank and in the solar collectors.
