The function of heat pump is based on the cooling cycle. The great advantage from all the other heating sources is that much energy spent on the operation of cooling cycle comes from the environment, while a smaller percentage of energy from the electricity.
The pump fan draws air from the environment and delivers it to the evaporator which absorbs the heat.
The heat is transferred to a closed circuit and it is compressed so the pressure and temperature to increase.
Then, it is driven to the condenser, where all the stored heat is attributed to the water that moves in the circuit of underfloor heating.
The refrigerant is transferred to the relief valve where it expands and comes back to the the evaporator to repeat the same procedure. This is the process for heating and hot water. For cooling the operation is reversed (Cooling can achieved when we have underfloor heating system and/or fan coils.).
